Adullam Children’s Home

In April 2007 I traveled to Webuye in Western Kenya. While there, my eyes were opened to the plight of orphaned and abandoned children.

It is estimated that in Kenya alone there are approx two million orphans with many of them forced to live on the streets, falling victim to exploitation and abuse.

Whilst in Kenya I stayed in the home of Bishop James and Flora Were, the founders and the Father and Mother of the Adullam Children’s Home.

I was impressed by their honesty and integrity and obvious love and concern for the children. They provide a loving and safe home to 42 children aged form 5 to 18 years. Food, clothing, education and medical treatment are provided for each child as required.

Adullam receives no government money and is totally dependent on private donations and sponsorship. On my return to Australia I could not forget what I had seen.

The Adullam Children’s Home Trust has been set up to generate funds to support the home.

We are proud to donate a percentage of our profit to support this Charity and can confidently recommend it as an excellent way of giving these children the gift of a future and the chance of a fulfilling and happy life.
